ACLU of Northern California #PowerThe14th Campaign
Client: ACLU of Northern California
The 14th amendment defines what it means to be a US citizen and protects certain rights of the people. Three important “clauses” in the amendment expanded Americans’ civil rights and are still important today: the Citizenship clause, the Due Process clause, and the Equal Protection clause. 150 years after its ratification, Trump administration policies threaten to turn back the clock on rights guaranteed by the 14th.
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of this amendment, the ACLU of Northern California launched #PowerThe14th, a year-long effort to encourage understanding and discussion of the 14th amendment.
